Linux Will Be Open For Business at "LinuxWorld"
with The EnlightenDSM Systems Management Solution
Silicon Valley, CA (January 26, 2000)- Enlighten Software Solutions,
Inc.
(Nasdaq:SFTW) today revealed plans to demonstrate its proprietary
EnlightenDSM at the upcoming LinuxWorld Conference and Expo in New
York
City. The San Mateo, California based company distinguishes itself
by
presenting the world's first multi-platform management solution for
the
open-source Linux operating environment and the first cross-platform
management for Linux to include Unix and Windows.
"The marketplace is embracing Linux for its scalability, affordability
and
the promise it holds," said Bill Bradley, President and CEO of Enlighten
Software Solutions, "Our involvement at LinuxWorld offers the global
Information Technology community a chance to view Linux as a viable
and
mature resource for virtually any enterprise."
Also at the tradeshow, Enlighten will showcase its alliances with a
growing
list of companies that recognize the role Linux will hold with the
next
generation of Internet commerce.
To date, a defining market barrier for Linux has been its inability
to
integrate with existing platforms, principally the proprietary Unix
and
Windows NT operating systems. EnlightenDSM solves this problem.
In a taped interview to be aired during the LinuxWorld Expo, Bryan Johnson,
Director of Network Application Engineering for MindSpring Inc., one
of the
nation's largest Internet Service Providers and a new Enlighten customer,
described his experiences with EnlightenDSM stating, "The ease of use
and
deployment, the ease with which we can customize and integrate; all
of these
things are what really won us over. Enlighten has enabled me to track
the
performance of our machines in ways that I haven't been able to before."
Enlighten Software Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:SFTW) will demonstrate
EnlightenDSM during LinuxWorld at the Jacob Javits Center in New York
City,
February 2-4, 2000. Enlighten will be the event's Press Room Sponsor
this
year. For more information on LinuxWorld or to obtain press credentials,
